Select one muscle group for specific attention. Utilizing deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, this treatment is aimed at reducing knots, adhesions and areas of discomfort.
Plastic and/or silicone cups are applied to areas of pain and inflammation. Negative pressure (suction) is applied, loosening muscles, encouraging blood flow and increasing relaxation.
Question: Are the discolorations left from cupping bruises? Answer: No. The suction draws stagnation to the pores, allowing the circulatory and lymphatic system to dispose of that stagnation naturally and quickly.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
MLD is a gentle, yet powerful form of bodywork intended to stimulate and encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. It is a technique based on rhythmic and constant movements that mimic the body's own lymphatic system.
Conditions indicated for MLD:
- Post-surgical procedures
- Lyme's disease
- Auto-immune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia)
- Reduction of swelling in extremities
Unlike blood, lymph fluid is not pumped by the heart. It moves slowly through our body, stimulated only by muscular contractions or massage. The lymph drains from the interstitium into the lymph vessels, collecting wastes and toxins that cannot be absorbed through the blood capillary vessels. In certain points, called nodes, the lymph fluid is cleaned and microorganisms are destroyed, making the lymphatic system a crucial part of our immune system.
The lymphatic system has 600-700 nodes with 200-300 in the neck alone. If fluid is blocked in one node, it will usually take a detour, however, when the blockage is severe it can cause a back up and create swelling in surrounding tissues referred to as "lymphedema".
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.
The chakra system is located in the core of our being, in a channel that encompasses the spine and includes the tailbone to the crown of the head, as well as the nerve bundles associated with each individual chakra. The chakra system is an energy system we can use for personal growth.
Indian tradition recognizes seven main chakras, which are junctions between ...consciousness (mind) and matter (body) and which link the various aspects of what makes us human: our physical, energetic, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual selves. When we focus on the chakras, we can connect to these aspects and move toward balance, health, and well-being. My process is to balance this energy system through energy work, crystals and essential oils.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home, workplace or even in my office! You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I provide. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
